Today, the high sales of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising and not the real needs of the the society in which they are sold
Could you please correct and score the essay for me?
In this day and age, the coverage of advertising is so great that it can be easily seen everywhere. Despite its strong effect on making the sales of products high, I agree that those goods are not of our true necessity.
The first reason to my agreement is that advertisements are designed with the intention of meeting the public’s command, even without stating the real usage of the goods. Disregard to the plethora of accesses to advertising, it is the choice of designers, advertisers, or salesmen to fabricate their own perfect outlook of the products they trying to sell. Advertising is believed to manipulate the public, leading us to the false conception of the goods’ function by using the deceptive words to cajole us into buying them.
Hardly do consumers buy products which are of their needs. People have a tedency to run toward the most up-to-date advertised commodity, although they could live on well not following that trend. This may result to our purchasing things which are no where near vital, such as an expensive piece of high-fashioned clothing, a fancy kitchen equipment doing things which can be done by our own effort, and such like, which raises the sales of the so-called popular products.
To conclude, advertising is not harmful, but the authority should take it under controk to minimize the number of false advertising, preventing people from being deceived.
Thank you so much !
