In many countries, students attend private “cram school“ for extra coaching in test-taking techniques. What is your view of this practice?
Entring a university is a big challenge for students, as there are much more pretendents than university places. This makes students to study very hard, because knowledge is the only warrantee for entering university. This fact created lots of opportunities for students to get prepared for exams. One of the many examples for that is appearance of “Clam schools“
“Clam schools“ are private schools for extra coachingin test-taking techniques. There students are extremely close to conditions which are similar to real testing. Thus, they become a bit more experienced. Some disadvantages of these schools also exist. As usual private schools are expensive and some students can not afford such big spending.
Another way to prepare for exams are extra-tutoring classes. These classes have relatively low fees if compared with private schools. Also it can be effective with some type of students. However, on tutoring classes level of quality of knowledge really depends on qualification of a tutor and IQ of a group.
Students can also prepare for exams on their own. The main benefit  of this approach is that students can completely evaluate their pros and cons. This way they can reveal their strong sides and weakness, so then they can work on what students think is necessary. Although, preparation by themselves is not able to provide enough knowledge and can not develop certain types of intelligience. Moreover, this kind of exercising does not have a good effect without help from  other people. For instance, a student can easily develop reading and listening skills on his own but it is difficult to improve writing and speaking abilities without well-qualified person.
In conclusion, “Cram schools“ and other coaching ways for preparation to testing are very useful  and are worth of most spendings that are spent on them.
