The diagram below show the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon. Sumarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Here is my answer to this writink task 1. What do you think ?
Thank’s a lot in advance.
The life cycle of salmons starts when they are at a very early age. Each one of these little fishes is called “fry” and his main dimension measures from 3 to 8 centimeters. A fry lives for approximately 4 years in the lower part of a river, where the water current flows quite fast. When a fry grows up it turns into the second stage of the life cycle. Salmons in this stage are called “smolts” and they measure from 12 to 15 centimeters. During this stage smolts live in open sea for about 5 years until they are strong enough for the next stage. In fact an “adult salmon” measures from 70 to 76 centimeters, so in this third stage it gains the capability to swim counter current in order to reach the upper part of the river, where the water flows very slowly resulting in a good place for procreating. In the upper river adult salmons look for reeds and small stones in order to find a quite and hidden area to place the eggs. After 5 to 6 months new salmons will born from the eggs, so the cylce can take place again, starting with fry.
