Discuss about effects of unemployment
In this day and age, once the economy consistently allied with relentless competitiveness, unemployment has gradually become one of the most considerable setbacks in our society. Apparently, there are two key effects of this worrying tendency, which are social impacts as well as economic infuences.

To begin with, the increasing rate of unemployment could well lead to several severe social problems. Obviously, the more citizens lose their jobs, the more difficult and challenging the gap between the rich and the poor in society will become to bridge. Consequently, as the living condition of unemployed people worsen day after day, they will probably commit crimes for basic life necessities in the not-too-distant future. The social stability will be, as a result, highly endangered.

Besides, unemployment also has negative impact on the economy. Due to the serious condition of unemployment and its social impacts outlined above, government have to spend higher proportion of public spending on welfare and other expenses aiming to curb those problems. Moreover, when people have less money to spend on the basis of unemployment, companies suffer from less consumer demand. Then, they might in turn be forced to make layoffs of their own, making the unemployment rate rise and overall spending drop even more.

In conclusion, due to the dramatic influence of unemployment, it is absolutely necessary that authorities should implement urgent measures to confront this problem in the attempts to support the steady economic and social development.
