Nowadays animal experiments are widely used to develop new medicines and to test the safety of other products. Some people argue that these experiments should be banned because it is morally wrong to cause animals to suffer, while others are in favour of them because of their benefits to humanity.

Ever since the inception of mankind, there has been a raging debate over researches on animals. Some people argue that it is against the law of nature, however,to the best of my judgment, carrying out researches on animals is an ingenious idea.
To begin, research on animal provide deep insight into the effect of new medicine. These days, scientist are coming up with new medicines that can cure deadly diseases such as AIDS,cancer. To ensure safety of these medicines on human beings, animals can serve as the best subject to experiment. To quote an example, last year,a new drug named Thalidomide was introduced in the market to treat rheumatoid arthritis without experimenting. Expected mothers, who were suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, took this medicine and the results were disastrous. Newborns of these mothers were born with phacomelia,a congenital disease which resulted in absence of limbs of newborns. Overall, it is better to sacrifice animals rather than humans.
Furthermore, experiments on animals help students of medical fraternity.Medical students need to have sound understanding of Anatomy and this can be achieved by exploring animal bodies.Similarly, physiology of human bodies can be well understood by studying physiological processes occurring in animals.
Nevertheless, animals also possess souls like humans do.They are also creation of god and have equal rights as humans have.Just for the sake of our benefits,we are no one to kill these creatures.
To conclude, although animals are also living beings,it is a great idea to perform experiments on them to prevent human beings from dangerous side effects of medicines.
