There have been many arguments regarding if the noise should be strictly regulated or not. Having said that, while some people agree to the above notion, however, personally I staunchly feel that people should be allowed to choose their own noise levels.
There are many reasons behind why government should lay down heavy rules against noise. Health problems is the key factor.  Extreme noise levels can affect people’s health, especially elderly’s, which could create headaches and consequently increase the stress level. Additionally, excessive noise could also hinder the concentration level of people in the neighbourhood, specifically if they are preparing for some major examinations. Despite all these reasons, there are certain ways to mitigate noise. Scientists, using modern technology, have come up with material for glasses and walls which are absolutely noise proof and obstruct any noise, whatsoever. This helps people to concentrate in their work while not being disturbed by any kind of noise.
Moreover, there are certain attributes regarding why noise levels should be a free choice. Firstly, after a long and tiring day at work, the employees choose to wind down by either going to a party or indulging in recreational activities like dancing and singing. This not only relaxes them but also takes their mind off their work which are beneficial for their health. Consequently, extreme noise levels at sports stadiums, like cheering loudly, boost the morale of the players and hence they play more effectively.
In conclusion, while there are many reasons why there should be strict regulations against noise, by undertaking proper measures, I feel that choosing the noise levels should be left on the individual itself.
