In this modern age and time, waste disposal has long existed as one of the most controversial issues. Despite the increase in the number of educated people, this problem still accelerates at an alarming rate. In this essay, several sources of this matter will be examined, accompanied by some feasible solutions.

To begin with, there are many factors contributing to the formation of a throw-away society. The first contributor is the so-called consumerism, illustrated by the over-abundance of commodities and the growing consumer needs. In the event of industrialization and commercialization, mass productions of numerous merchandises have rendered people more accessible to a wider range of products. Another factor worth our consideration is the throw-away attitude and culture of consumers that have long existed. Normally, people tend to dispose of unwanted goods or out-of-date consumables, but their actions would be regarded as ignorant of their negative influences on the surroundings. According to recent estimates, an average American is responsible for 4.4 pounds of trash a day, or 1,606 pounds a year.

With the aforementioned origins, governments and users should adopt some practical solutions. First of all, scientists are about to introduce disposable and digestible plastic bags, which comes as a surprise to both conservationists and environmentalists. These packaging stuff are made of a substance that can dissolve in water and become drinkable, posing no threat to the environment. Furthermore, demonstrators should raise public awareness of the potential damages plastic bags inflict on the surrounding neighborhood and suggest the use ecofriendly and reusable ones to further contribute to the environmental preservation. Finally, when it comes to prohibition and penalty, those who try to litter or destroy the public places should be heavily penalized or even imprisoned for a better society.

In conclusion, no doubt our ignorance and desire to possess more have led to the creation of a throw-away society. Advancement of technology, globalization and economic structure have all fueled this trend even faster. But now it is time that everyone stepped forward and thought about the future to take actions to revert the damage

In this modern age and time [For the past few decades], waste disposal has long existed as one of the most controversial issues. Despite the increase in the number of educated people [Despite awareness has been raised globally], this problem still accelerates at an alarming rate. In this essay, several sources of this matter will be examined, accompanied by [along with] some feasible solutions.

To begin with, there are many factors contributing to the formation of a throw-away society. The first contributor is the so-called consumerism, illustrated by the over-abundance of [loss of balance between] commodities and the growing consumer needs. In the event of industrialization and commercialization, mass productions of numerous merchandises have rendered people more accessible to a wider range of products (so why the underlined part results in waste?). Another factor [that] worth[s] our consideration is the throw-away attitude and culture of consumers that have long existed.

Furthermore, demonstrators should raise public awareness of the potential damages [damaging] plastic bags inflict on the surrounding neighborhood and suggest [encourage] the use [of] ecofriendly and reusable ones to further contribute to the environmental preservation (the underlined part indicates this sentence is too unnecessarily long!!!). Finally, when it comes to prohibition and penalty, those who try to litter or destroy the public places should be heavily penalized or even imprisoned for a better society.

In conclusion, no doubt (sponke language should not be used) [there is no doubt that] our ignorance and desire to possess more have led to the creation of [resulted in] a throw-away society. Advancement of technology, globalization and economic structure have all fueled this trend even faster. But now (spoken language) [It is therefore urgent] time that [for] everyone stepped (why past simple here? You indicated this was happening ‘now’) [to step] forward and thought (why past simple here?) [think] about the future to take actions to revert the damage.

Task ahievement: 6.5 (acceptable response to the task, evidence is not supportive enough, writing style appears not so ‘natural’)
Cohesion and Coherence: 6.5 (acceptable organization, some points are still not very well-explained)
Lexical Resource: 6.5 (wide range of academic vocabs, yet seemed to be over-used that make your writing less ‘natural’)
Grammar Range: 6.0 (complicated structures are not fluently used thus confuse your ideas, avoid spoken language and take note on using appropriate tenses and relactive clauses)
Overall: 6.5
