For the past few years, as environmental issues mainly caused by the overuse of fossil fuels have long existed as a very controversial debate, raising the costs of the latter would be a sure-fire solution to this problem. However, the rising outlays of fuel will be a double-edged knife on the following grounds.
On one side of the argument, those demonstrating advocates for increasing the petroleum price maintain that there would be a decline in the number of private cars. To make it clearer, with respect to developing countries, this may be useful to a certain extent because drivers may be reluctant to use their private cars and turn to public transport as a result. However, when it comes to oil-rich countries such as Middle East nations, the situation would be overcome easily and their profit margin from oil sales would increase. Besides, the fuel price determines the market prices of other daily necessary products and the surge of costs would only bring misery to the low-class citizens.
On the other end of spectrum, there are many grounds that this solution may not be appropriate for environmental preservation. As per the statement, fuel is a significant contributor to the hazardous human-made activities bringing about detrimental effects on the environment, but making fuel acquisition harder will not guarantee the environmental protection. Specifically, chemical and solid wastages are also hazardous to the environmental but their disposals cannot be hindered by increasing fuel prices. Moreover, improper removal of electronic wastes also poses significant threats to the environment. For instance, usage of CFC in electrical equipment such as refrigerator is unavoidable and uncontrolled by fuel prices, which is accelerating at an alarming rate. Therefore, this method would not be a sensible answer to the continuously increasing environmental hazards.
In conclusion, although the hypothesis of using high costs as a lever to modify the attitudes towards dealing with energy and petrol, the unexpected drawbacks would greatly outweigh the positive consequences. Therefore, investments on the production of automobiles running on renewable energy would be a more fruitful and sustainable solution.

Therefore, investments on in the production of automobiles running on renewable energy would be a more fruitful and sustainable solution.

It’s optimal if you state your opinion of agree/ disagree or partial at the beginning of the essay, therefore readers may be clearer pov.
Have addressed the TQ.
Should be more cautious on forming sentences, therefore they convey clearer thoughts.
