I’m New to this Forum and I’m starting to prepare the academic IELTS exam.
I’d be grateful if someone could give feedback about this graph for task 1.
The Graph illustrates the number of non-cash transactions which the UK citizens did between 1991 and 2007. During this period of time, there was a significant increase in the transactions mad by debit card and a steady rise in those made by credit and charge cards. In contrast, for the same period of time, the number of transactions using cheques gradually fell.
The transactions using credit card became popular over the years 1991 and 2007, exceeding the amount of transaction made by credit card in 1993 and those made by cheques in 1997 to reach roughly 5 million of transactions in 2007.
The use of credit and charge card was gradually rising between the years 1991 and 2003 from approximately 0.5 billion to 1.8 million when the amount of transactions leveled out and remained steady until 2007.
In contrast, the transaction made by cheques presented a steady decline over the years 1991 and 2003 from 2.5 to 1.1 billion, when the number of transaction remained steady for 3 years before continued falling to 0.9 billion on 2007.
