The following charts below based on Australia and France`s dates and it provided information about units of electricity production by fuel resource in different years 1980 and 2000.
It clearly observed that in 1980 Australia`s basic source of electricity was coal (50 units) wereas natural gas and hydro power accounted the second largest fuel source with the same units. Both resources total result were 40 units. Oil was produced least with only 10 units. In comparision to 2000, coal production increased dramatically to 130 units while hydro power carried on to be important resource which was second position with 36 units.
Unlike Australia main electricity sources of France were natural gas and coal (both of them were 25 units) in 1980. The rest of resource 20 units were belonged to oil compared with 15 units which produced by nuclear power wereas that of hydro power was 10 units lesser. After 20 years numbers varied considerably. In particular, nuclear power`s previous result boomed nine fold. Nevertheless, natural gas`s units suddenly decreased to 2. The remaining stabilised at insignificant level.
Overall, both countries basic source were different throughout that period. Australia relied on coal while France in nuclear power.
